Getting Around Belize

Belize is unlike many other travel hotspots in the world, though. Despite having only one International Airport (BZE) in the counrty, Belize is actively strenghtening its relationship with various airlines and opening its door allowing more airline into the country and overnight guests.

Other tourist destinations include Caye Caulker, San Pedro (Ambergris Caye), San Ignacio, Placencia, Hopkins.  Traveling to the island - Caye Caulker or San Pedro, Ambergris Caye - from the mainland requires getting a water taxi or a local flight.  There are two water taxi companies and they provide transfers to both Islands / Cayes.  They are Ocean Ferry& San Pedro Belize Express.  Local airlines are Maya Air And Troic Air.  

When traveling to Placencia, Hopkins, Dangriga, Punta Gorda, or San Ignacio, Cayo, check with your Hotel or Resort to see if they offer and arrange transfers for you.
